Our chief drone pilot, Ian McNeice is the founder of Northern Drone Services UK. After 35 highly successful years in senior IT engineering, digital design and management positions for numerous well-known global organisations, Ian has leveraged his extensive knowledge to establish the first and a leading commercial drone operator on the Eastern Cumbria / Dales border.
TRAINING & CERTS
Drone training is a constant and ongoing process and each client project brings new insight. We pride ourselves on a proactive approach to CAA and EASA training via our preferred UK professional ex-military trainers.
POST-PRODUCTION
Images and video can be enhanced post-flight. We use a range of software tech to achieve this in our post-production studio. We can add logos and music etc as desired.
LOCAL CREW
Ian was born near Kendal and is a local man. Our drone services provide you with your own skilled UAV pilot that will provide you with the drone videography and imagery you need.
FLIGHT EXPERIENCE
We fly daily in the local landscapes of Eastern Cumbria and beyond. We are also licensed for European operations through our current EASA certifications.
Tech & Drone Pilot Experience & Qualifications
Extensive CAA and EASA commercial drone training, certifications and live flight operations in the northern landscape. 35 years of engineering and senior leadership roles in new technologies including global infrastructure designs and delivery for Cathay Pacific Airways and Virgin Atlantic Airways in live airport operational environments.
HEALTH & SAFETY
We train regularly in health and safety and follow strict operational processes throughout any project to ensure that all risks are kept to an absolute minimum.
INDUSTRY QUALIFICATIONS
Prince 2 and ITIL Certified. Global delivery of numerous of digital solutions across many business sectors including airlines & oil and gas over 35 years
DRONE EQUIPMENT
We fly DJI drones almost daily dependent on local weather conditions. We currently use Mavic drones with Hasselblad lenses and are commercially insured for £5m.
CAA CERTIFICATIONS
We value our CAA and European EASA certifications as these underpin our professional approach to drone use at all times. Our certs are updated annually.
